Can you find the mate in 2?
Winning Training

How are you today? Monday! The start of an other week…have a great one! Recently I got interested in solving mates in two moves as a form of training, and I have to tell you that I am impressed. When I was younger I stayed away from this kind of puzzle because, being a tournament player, they seemed so unrelated to anything that I was doing in chess.
But today I have found that this kind of puzzle is perfect for developing the ability to rapidly create a list of candidates moves and then going thru each one, one by one. And if ,as often happens none of them is the solution, then just as quickly creating another list and repeating the same process until you find the solution.
Below are a dozen such mates in two moves (White moves first in each) that I took from an old Quebcois chess magazine ( #25 , September/October 1982) called ‘Le Petit Roque’. Good luck!
