Chess, Eros and the Queen (I)
The Queen has no clothes

The Queen may not be the most important piece in chess, but she certainly is everyone’s favourite! The Queen is our ‘femme fatale’. Living. Fertile. Erotic. The essence of Art.
Chess is so much more than a mere game because of her. She is a symbol. No wonder that artists, authors and photographers have long been fascinated with the Queen’s more earthy side.

“Reality doesn’t impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another. No more walls.” ― Anaïs Nin,
