2018 World Seniors Championship in Bled

Quick 5-Minute Summary

These ‘senior’ championships are becoming popular! This one is taking place between the 17th and 30th of November in Bled. Four sections, +50m, +65m, +50f, +65f. Eleven round Open, time control 90 minutes for 40 moves followed by 30 minutes to finish (+30′ per move).

Bled needs no introduction to students of chess history.

A total of 330 participants, including 40 gm’s, 36 im’s, 10 wgm’s and 8 wim’s. For my Canadian readers, 11 players are participating:
