Tuesday’s Winning 5-sec Tactics!
From the praxis of Vlad Simagin

The late Russian grandmaster Vladimir Simagin should be no stranger to my readers by now! Several of my previous blog articles demonstrated his talent.
Today I present some 9 tactics from his games. For my readers to try their best to solve and demonstrate their talent! Good Luck!!
Let’s get started!
White over optimistically advanced his King, believing that there is no danger. Black to play and force mate!
A very complex and sharp position! White must be better, but Black has counterplay. How should White play?
The opposite colour Bishops have no drawing effect here! How can Black play and win?
Material is even and Black is very solid. Sometimes appearances are deceiving in chess! How should White play?
The Black Queen has been capturing pawns on the Queenside while White has built up an attacking position. White to play and crush!
Another complex fight, but once more the Black King is exposed. White to play and force mate!
White’s last move (Nc4) seems quite strong, attacking the Black b-pawn, but there is a flaw in White’s evaluation. There was no need to rush things. Black to play and win!
Black is playing with fire, neglecting his development all for the sake of a sick pawn. What is White’s best way to punish Black?
An inexperienced eye might conclude that Black is ok because everything is protected. How should White play to disprove this evaluation?
