BRAIN TEASER:

What is the central theme here??

The above poster is the OFFICIAL poster for the 2012 Canadian Open that will be held in Victoria and organized by the Victoria Chess Club.

But the Canadian Open part of the poster is overshadowed by the Victoria Chess (Club/City?) presence, occupying more than 2/3 of the space. NOT ONLY that , but the tournament logo seems faded and cheap,like a photocopy of a photocopy.

There is no clear theme in the above poster! No centre of gravity. SO I ASSUME that the organizers have not consulted with a professional when putting up this poster…take at look at these previous posters for the Canadian Open where the central theme –NO DOUBT THERE–is the tournament; NOT the club or the city.
