Minos Nikolakakis is a young film director/writer. Born in Athens in 1980. In 2003 he made his first professional short film “Ticket to Ride”. His films have participated in festivals all over the world (including LA Shorts Fest, Cinemed Montpellier, Uppsala and Flickers Fest) and had a theatrical release. They have also been used as a teaching medium in seminars he did in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, School of Fine Arts, Film Studies.
Besides from directing films for cinema, he has directed commercial videos. He is a graduate of the University of Patras, department of civil engineering and simultaneously working as a civil engineer to support his passion for film making.
Once upon a time and place, there was a toy-maker, living alone, in a cabin up on a mountain. He created a wooden puppet, as an opponent for his games of chess. But can a puppet become a worthy opponent? Unless…
