Position after 34 moves of play. Black was doing quite well up to a couple of moves ago but now finds himself with an exposed Kingside. White conducts the attack with great precision and energy…
Threatening 35.Qh6+. Wrong completely would now be 35…h5? 36.Nxh5!+ gxh5 37.Qg5+ Kf8 38.Qh6+ with mate not far off
Moving the King to h8 would be answered the same way
Energetic! If now 37…gxh5 38.Qg5+ Kf8 39.Qxf6 Kg8 40.Bxh7+! etc ; and if 37…Nxh5 38.Rxh5! etc
WHITE TO PLAY AND FORCE MATE!
It is forced mate starting with 38.Qg7+!! Nxg7 39.Nxf6+ 1-0 After 39…Kh8 there is 40.Rxh7++, and after 39…Kf8 there is 40.Nxh7+, 41.Nf6+ and 42.Rh8++ Brilliant!
