London Chess Classic: So continues in front
Final weekend !
Not a very exciting tournament so far! Tournament leader Wesley So has been able to play on auto-pilot after zooming out in front 2-0 after two rounds of play. In the following 5 rounds he has only scored plus-1, and without any ambition or initiative, or real effort on his part; his single win in the last 5 rounds was against a horribly off-form Topalov who seems to be unable to stop himself from falling apart.
Forty-one year old Topalov has had a brilliant career up to the time he got married! Now a father, Topalov seems to have great trouble finding the warrior in himself. Hopefully he will come back soon before he drops out of the top-50 in the world.
