Kasparov on AlJazeera
An interesting interview with Garry Kasparov by AlJazeera. The former world champion talks about Putin, his FIDE presidential campaign, Putin, the Ukraine crisis, Putin (again), why Kasparov quit Russian politics, Putin (what else) and finally, the Kasparov Foundation. (Kasparov must have missed this last opportunity to plug Putin!)

Clearly, Kasparov is a fascinating person but his obsession with Putin is beginning to draw parallels to Bobby Fischer’s obsession with anti-semitism. Ofcourse, Bobby’s life was a Greek tragedy–something difficult to imagine could ever happen to Garry–but paranoia is a bitch: Putin is under every bed, behind every door, lurking in every shadow…it seems challenging for Kasparov to not mention Putin whenever he talks to the press or to the public.
