Georgiev miniatures at Gibraltar
SPRAGGETT ON CHESS
It is not often that can win more easily with Black than with White, and even rarer when one can beat 2 strong grandmasters back to back with Black in a combined total of 49 moves (21 + 28)!
But that is exactly what Bulgarian star Kiril Georgiev accomplished in the recently completed international open in Gibraltar. And he did it in the same opening, that is, Kiril twice quickly crushed his opponents in what is considered one of the most solid White openings in modern opening theory!
The Classical line against the Nimzo Indian Defence is one of White’s most reliable variations.
