FIDE: the FINAL PARTY!
WEEKEND WITH A CORPSE!

This 1989 American dark comedy about spending a weekend with a corpse–while PRETENDING that he is still alive–has many parallels and similarities with this final weekend in Tromso before Monday’s FIDE election.

Their face says it all. Nigel Short and Ignatius Leong , die-hard Kasparov supporters who, since late last year, have stooped to record-depths with endless numbers of infantile social media communications and shameless propaganda, all in an effort to dupe the international chess community with ‘good versus evil’ fairytales. Not surprisingly, none would swallow it. An important lesson to the Kasparov camp for their next campaign attempt: the chess community is super-sophisticated, compared to the general public, and can readily see thru BS.

THIS WEEKEND in Tromso is Garry’s final opportunity to get last minute votes…in any way that he can…and , ofcourse, Kirsan is going to match him dollar for dollar. You can almost hear the sound of money! Must be the most expensive election ever in FIDE’s history…
