Chess Potpourri & other Nonsense
Once upon a time…PlayGirl Magazine

The good old days when chess was respected and pubic hair was still a well guarded secret …the November 1973 issue of PlayGirl featured actor Don Stroud:
“Nudity didn’t mean much to me. Toni Holt approached me and my manager and asked if I wanted to pose naked. I had to put makeup on my balls and on my ass. I was tan at the time but had a white streak right around my privates, so I had to hire a makeup guy. He goes, “Well…I guess I’m getting paid for this.” (link)

Play it again,Sam!

Berlin. Playing on a by now familiar Duchamp–theme, here we can see Sophia Thomalla playing naked against Till Lindemann. Magnificent! (I like her shoes!!) Photo by the one and only Olaf Heine.

Ah, Marilyn! A winning tail!

“This almost feels like cheating, but here is the forever famous Marilyn Monroe, and her incredible rear. Shot by Jeffrey Yarber, unsure of the year.”
But now for the bad news: the photo is a fake. Yarber writes: “The ‘photograph’ is one of thousands of celebrity fantasy artworks I have digitally created and sold over the years. Fakes is a genre, I, and about four other fellows, originated. My artworks are marketed around the world, and are offered in just about every medium there is.”
But this photo is real!
