Chess finally recognized as a SPORT in Canada!

It took many years for it to become a reality, but finally Sport Canada has reluctantly given in and recognized CHESS as a sport! Opposition to this recognition was enormous, and eventually came down to 2-obstacles: first, many felt that chess could never be more than a game; secondly, should chess become recognized as a sport, what CATEGORY of sport would it fall under?
A compromise was finally agreed upon last night as the last hurdles were cleared. Sport Canada now considers chess to be in the same category as:
TOILETTE SEAT VAULTING !!
Congratulations! In Canada, it doesn’t get better than this!
