Chess & Advertisement

Guess the Product being Sold!
Advertisements. They are all over the place. You can not get away from them! But sometimes it is not so obvious what is being sold. Some ads are obvious, others are subtle. Still others can make you laugh and get you to buy their products anyway! But they all create moods, provoke reactions.
In the above image, an ad that I recently came across, we see a serious young man holding a book, sitting beside a chessboard and looking infront, probably listening to a person speaking to him.
What is the product being sold here?
If you guessed it was the man’s HOODY, then you would be right! The well known clothing retailer Marks&Spencer has a sale on hoodies HERE. The ad’s message: smart guys wear hoodies. (I had always associated hoodies with street gangs)
One of my favourite chess ads:
Here is a cool recruitment ad for the Singapore Police Force.
The Singapore Police Force is the Republic’s main police agency tasked with maintaining law and order in the island city-state. Formerly known as the Republic of Singapore Police it has grown from an 11-man organisation to a 38,587 strong force. Singapore has been ranked consistently in the top five positions in the Global Competitiveness Report in terms of its reliability of police services. It even has its own FACEBOOK and YouTube account!
De Mooi Productions is a Boutique company that develops unique, individualistic and memorable TVC and Print Advertisements
