Cappelle update!

The 32nd edition of one of the world’s most prestigious Open tournaments in the world is underway in Cappelle-la-Grande. This year’s tournament has an impressive list of more than 500 players (headed by Gata Kamsky) , including more than 100 titled players from over 50 countries! Ages lie between 7 years old and 80! Here are some of the results from yesterday’s round:
More information HERE. Leading the tournament at this point (with two rounds to go) are Kamsky and Misha Gurevich, both with 6 points from 7. You can follow the games Live HERE.
In coming days I will post more on this great tournament. For today, I limit myself to some photos…

Where does the time go? Bernard and I go back almost 50 years to my days in Montreal! I will write more extensively of our history, but today Bernard is–amongst other things– president of the FQE (Quebec Chess Federation) as well as in charge of international relations in AIDEF. A passionate player, Bernard is also a chess organizer and promoter.
