Breathing Earth
SPRAGGETT ON CHESS
We can greatly lessen our impact on climate change by using the planet’s resources more responsibly. There are many things we can reduce, and many ways we can reduce them, but three of the major ones are: reduce the amount of animal products you consume (meat, dairy, eggs, leather, etc.), reduce the amount of fuel you use (car, air travel, etc.), and reduce the amount of electricity you use.
A reader sent me the link to BREATHING EARTH , a visual, real-time simulation of CO2 emissions, as well as bearth and death rates for any (and every) country in the world. You only need point the mouse cursor and presto: instant data.
The map simulation visualizes in real time how many people are born, how many people die, and how many tonnes of CO2 are emitted in coutries all over the world. This greenhouse effects simulation was created by David Bleja.
