Anton Kovalyov, 17 years old and rated more than 2600, recently won the Figueira da Foz international open in Portugal, and I took advantage of this opportunity to do an interview with him. Anton, born in the Ukraine in 1992, is one of the great talents of his generation and is currently ranked number 3 in the world under 18 list.
Anton is relatively unknown in Canada, despite living in the Montreal area for the past 2 years.
